Tattoo needles, or what is worth knowing about tattoo needles?
Tattoo needles must be sterilized. Currently, each needle should be pre-sterilized and you will find the sterilization expiration date on the package. If you buy unsterilized needles, you must always sterilize them yourself before getting a tattoo.
Choose a needle for the type of tattoo. The parameters of the needles are matched to the type of line you want to make. Consider what your technique is and buy needles that meet those needs.
Check if the needle fits the tattoo machine. A tattoo needle needs to match the equipment, so make sure you need individual needles or cartridges, and choose the tips well.
What are the types of tattoo needles?
FANTOM NEEDLES tattoo needles are divided into basic groups:
Round Liners (RL) give a clear, clean line, precision. A liner is a type of contouring needle.
Turbo Round Liner (TRL), gives a round line, absorbs slightly more ink than other RL needles, so you can make a long line without interruption.
Round Shader (RS) can be gently shaded or filled with color.
Magnum (MG) is a very versatile needle, most often used for shading, especially on large surfaces. More ink spent means less strokes and less skin irritation.
Soft Edge Magnum (SEM) - these are needles with a soft transition, i.e. the color is stronger in the middle and softer on the outside. They will prove themselves in the creation of the so-called "fading", i.e. shading and transitions.
Flat (FL abbreviation) They dispense more ink, resulting in clear, strong lines in just one stroke. They are used for shading and filling, permanent makeup.
FANTOM NEEDLES needles are divided according to needle length:
MT - Medium Taper, a needle with a shorter taper, allows you to insert more ink.
LT - Long Taper, a needle that will leave a smaller mark in the skin and less pigment, allows the razor to pass more times over the skin without excessive irritation.
Fantom NEEDLES needles have a Super Polished or Textured surface.
What are the sizes of tattoo needles, what diameter to choose
The diameter, or gauge, determines the flow of ink through the needle. The narrower it is, the slower the flow.
0.25 mm, for very detailed lines.
0.30 mm, where the ink flow is medium, which makes them the most universal and popular needles.
0.35 mm, for shading large areas, thickening.
